Every Tuesday, We'll be sharing one of our family traditions. From Game day, to the holidays, to our kids firsts, The South has time honored traditions that go hand in hand with monograms. We'll share our favorite traditions, and may a few family recipes too!
They're popping up everywhere and we couldn't be more excited! It's PUMPKIN PATCH season! I remember gathering all my roommates in college and dragging them to the pumpkin patch. They'd fight it (except for the best friend who knew what I was up to), they would say they were too old, but as soon as we got to the pumpkin patch, everyone reverted back to 8. Between the search for the perfect pumpkin to posing with the scarecrows and hay, it is some of my favorite memories of the fall. We would pick our favorite pumpkins, and then head back to the apartment to carve them and roast the seeds.
Now, I have fun sharing these traditions with my godson. He's at the fun age where everything is new and exciting. At 17 months, we spent the night, chasing him around the pumpkins, pulling him in the wagon, and posing him next to the scarecrows. It was close to bed time and it went rather quickly; but, we did manage to make a few memories.
I know it's still two weeks until Halloween; but I already have his Personalized Halloween Bucket ready. I can't wait to see him trick or treat this year.
