2014. This. Year. Went. So. Fast!! I know I have probably said that before but this year doesn't even compare. It was just January! Now, it is just days away from January 2015. I hate to blame it on my age and you know what, I won't. I think a big part of it is from having large goals for WHM. We have accomplished a lot this year, and learned a lot. Maybe not everything we set out to do has been done but that is ok. I have learned that growing this business does not have to be done overnight.
January: I had hoped to put all of my accounting on Quick Books, but guess what. That has not happened yet. Another thing to learn and no time to do it.
February: This was a wonderful month with the birth of my second grand-daughter Olivia Grace!
She is nothing like her big sister. Eloise has very blond hair and blue eyes and Olivia Grace has dark hair and dark eyes.
March: Brainstorming began on a new and improved website. Too many customers were getting stuck in a checkout error that made it obvious that something needed to change.
June: Operation Social Media! A specific effort, on my part, to learn everything I could about having a presence in the ever changing world of social media. I began posting on a regular basis in Instagram and Facebook and Pinterest. I call them necessary evils. Can I get an Amen?
This all happened during a 2 1/2 week road trip from Florida to Indiana with my 14 year old daughter and her friend. I decided that if I can live through that then I can do anything!!
July: Atlanta Mart Gift show. One of the highlights of the year. I think going on a buying trip keeps me positive. it is all so exciting!
August: In preparation for Back to School we began the "Gameday with WHM" promotion. Customers have been posting, on Instagram mainly, their game day attire to be entered into a contest for a $75 credit with WHM. It is not over yet and our team, FSU Seminoles plays on Jan 1st! Go Noles!
October: All efforts prepared for the end of the year Christmas season. Inventory was ordered and I prepared for the long hours ahead.
November: Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday were a great success! I hope you are on our mailing list! If not, you can register on our home page. Or, just email me and let me know you want to be added to the list. email@example.com. If you happen to miss a promotion being announced on social media, you can get it straight to you inbox.
December: Through out the year, there have be many new product announcements. We are always growing and developing. We sent out a survey just a few weeks ago and learned some valuable information. Most of our customers are looking for monogrammed clothing. They want the most value they can get for their money. We want to thank you for taking the survey and let you know, we heard you!
Ashley has decided to make some changes and instead of being a part of White House Monogramming, she is going to write a blog focusing on parenting and party planning. We wish her lots of success!
I look forward to 2015 and will continue to grow the business. I have some exciting things headed your way. We have some wonderful customers! Thank you all for a great 2014!!
